Our Story: From Scotland to North Carolina – Building a Soccer Legacy

Strikers Soccer Center has a rich history rooted in family values and a deep passion for soccer. As a family-owned professional soccer club in Scotland, we dedicated ourselves to developing young talent, helping them reach elite levels of the sport—including representing national teams. Our journey took an exciting turn in 1994, when we attended the World Cup in the USA. That same year, we were invited to the Final Four college games at Davidson College, sparking the idea to bring soccer camps to North Carolina.

In 1995, we launched our first summer soccer camps, traveling across the state to work with top-level players and coaches. The enthusiasm and growth of soccer in the region inspired us to create something even bigger—a dedicated soccer complex.

Guided by international soccer experts, we embraced the concept of small-sided games, which proved to be the best way to develop player skills. Our belief was simple: more touches = more skill, more enjoyment, and ultimately, more success.

The Birth of Strikers Soccer Center

In November 2000, we opened the doors to STRIKERS 1. The facility featured seven small fields and one larger field, each designed to give players more touches on the ball and enhance their development. With high-quality playing surfaces and rebound boards surrounding the fields, our vision was clear: to provide an environment where players—whether kids or adults—could achieve their soccer goals and have fun while doing it.

Over the years, many of our youth players have gone on to play at the collegiate level, while our adult players continue to enjoy the thrill of small-sided games. Watching soccer grow in the region has been incredibly rewarding, and we’re proud to have been a part of that growth.

A New Chapter: Strikers 2

In March 2020, we expanded our vision with the opening of STRIKERS 2 in Indian Trail, located in the Hickory Grove Business Park. This state-of-the-art facility features four small fields and one larger field, providing even more opportunities for youth and adult players to learn, grow, and enjoy the game we love.

As our journey continues, we remain driven by our passion for soccer and our commitment to developing players at every level. But the journey is far from over—join us and become a part of the legacy we’re building!
